I'm well aware of the slim to non chance of us signing Ryan Kent, But I would still love us to sign him, that's all.

Yep, understand we work under a tight wage structure (correctly in my opinion), and it's why our squad has to be lean as well. Trust the club will make the right offer. Be nice for them to balance off transfer fees and wages though. Although understand the disharmony of overpaying certain players wages can cause.

It's a tough one. We are competing with clubs with far more cash to splurge. Either through higher revenues, a willingness to gamble the clubs long term financial security, or a mixture of both.

Imagine there will be plenty of free transfers dropping from prem/championship hoovering up the inflated wages to allow us to compete for the less well established talent. Especially if players are willing to sacrifice a certain amount of cash at this time for the potential to improve and earn far greater amounts in the future under our development policy. Rather than just rot on the bench or in the reserves for 3 years. As an aside any player purely interested in their immediate wages rather than long term potential and the option of getting regular games in championship probably isn't someone Hecky would want to sign.

Guess we'll all just wait and see what happens. We're only 18/24 months into this new vision and policy for the club. So far they've got far far more right than wrong. Believe this really is the pivitol summer for that plan to either kick on to greater prosperity, or face taking a step backwards. I trust that the owner, the directors, the manager and the scouting team will come up with the right approach, and the right players, to make it an ongoing success. Hopefully the CEO is in place before end of April/May, ready for when players can sign for other clubs again.

If true i'm shocked three of the most significant people in his life would be thick enough to talk about such private matters surrounded by loads of fans of his current club that like yourself could overhear. Ryan would be well in his mind to be pissed off at his possible future plans being made known in such a public domain.
