Anyone know why Toby Foster hasn't been on Radio Sheffield for some time? Sacked again? I'II?

Journalist Darren Burke has posted a link on Twitter. Apparently it is alleged the presenter is under investigation at the BBC
over some tweets made on the 22nd March following the Westminster terrorist attack.
He apparently has insisted that he is on holiday.

A lot of people I know are very naive when it comes to the use of social media in that they fail to realise they can be held accountable for comments they make. No idea has been said but this could prove to be such a case.

Thanks Donny Red. Just struck me as strange that there has apparently been no explanation on Radio Sheffield regarding his absence.

I like to listen to him. If he has been sacked I hope that Paul Walker doesn't get the job permanently, he really is a boring, obnoxious, self opinionated knob.

    Agree.

I only listen to it on a morning driving to the office.

If he's gone I will listen to summat else.

I did see the tweets. I don't think it was in any way something he should get in bother about like from what I remember.

Although strangely he commented that the producers had rang his wife to say he could be in bother.

I mean don't bother ringing him like. Ring his wife. WTF they think they were doing ringing her like I've no idea.

Anyway he says he's on holiday and it's been planned a while.

Radio Sheffield ain't the same when he isn't on

Why would he want to work for those Muslim terrorist-loving bstards at the BBC anyway?

They've only just put up a photo of the terrorist from the attack 5 hours ago.

Always making excuses for terrorist scumbags, **** 'em off Toby.

You're right - in my car it's Radio 4 when he's not on.

I think he's also effectively self employed and presents for BBC Radio Sheffield as an independently contracted provider - he's mentioned many times that he doesn't get sick pay if he's off or pension contributions from the BBC. I don't listen to the programme if he's not on.

Toby is from Barnsley District - he is sort of a Barnsley fan - he is only the one thing on Radio Sheffield worth listening to.
If he goes then they may as well shut up shop on Shoreham Street

I think he's on on day release anyway. He spends the rest of his time in an institution wearing a brown cardigan rocking gently in a chair.

Surely the fundamental point of being a comedian is to make people laugh and that's where poor old Toby fails . I've been to his shows which are pretty good but the problem is that the guests are funnier than the host . He's ok at hosting / comparing and he should stick at that .
