The day I travelled down to Cardiff with Tattershall Tyke (remember him?) from Worsborough Bridge in his super fast sports-type car which he insisted on driving at over 100 mph whenever possible right from hitting the M1 at Birdwell. I've never felt more uneasy and unclean in totally cacked up underpants as I did that day. We were back in Barnsley before we'd set off from Cardiff. Chuff me Paul, I still break out into hot sweaty sweats.
Happy days . Goat Major pub on the Friday night , worked me way down the four handpumps of Brains beers then had two more of my preferred beer . Went back after the game but the beers were now being served in plastic glasses (sic) . Beer tasted ***** . Avoid plastic !
I forgot . Sunday morning went to my car and the Swansea seagulls had got their revenge . I have never seen so much guano on a car before . Straight home to the car wash .
I was in Icmeler, Turkey watching it in a bar with a Swansea fan until he buggered off when our first goal went in. My lad went and he always reminds me that I said "I'm booking holiday cos we can forget the play offs this year". Famous last words.
Can remember Nick Colgan impersonating David Pleat running after saving the last penalty. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
Watched it in a bar in Benidorm surrounded by Swansea fans. To be fair they congratulated us after the shoot-out. Massively outnumbered though... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How we won that I still never know can remember trundle getting the ball in added time and thinking noooo..... but we did it great day out and Swansea fans were a decent crowd too
It was the day after my Mother's funeral, so my place was to be at home with my family. I watched the game on the telly and when Colgan saved the penalty, all the feelings that had built up during that period just burst out. I was laughing and crying at the same time & feeling guilty about how BFC had made me so happy during a time of intense grief.
My wife was pregnant with my eldest son. I look at the photos and I have aged a lot! Was an amazing day with the roof closed. The composure the lads showed with those penalties was amazing. The relief when Nardiello scored the equaliser to make is two all was ridiculous. The whole thing was a marathon. Brilliant day. Definitely a major highlight in all the years of support. That team was punching well above it's weight in my opinion, but great heart.
Remember Trundle weaving through our defence a couple of times. Scared the **** out of me. Heart in my mouth. Still watch the replay and expect him to score.
