A club in absolute meltdown? I'd say we're much better than that. We want young and hungry players with a point to prove. Not a fat idle Bolton reject on 20 grand a week.
No completely agreed with that and I don't want some fat idle **** either. Of course were far better run than they'll ever be. It didn't seem right to say just because they didn't want a player we instantly shouldn't either. We as a club often have a bee in our bonnet about clubs saying 'teams like Barnsley' yet finding ourselves saying 'if he's not good enough for them he's not good enough for us'. As far as history is concerned I would say we're not too dissimilar a sized club.

Not strictly true that. Most of the players signed from lower leagues were their star players and even player of the season. Winnall,. Hourihaine, Scowen, Berry, Yiadom etc were all very highly regarded at their clubs.
Looks to have a good pedigree and has changed hands for big money previously. Not right for us on three counts for me. He's 28 so he doesn't really fit our profile. If Bolton or Burton can't meet his pay demands it's unlikely we would be able to and finally we are already overloaded with midfielders. We really do need to see movement on the striker front within the next fourteen days. I have a gut feeling we will have two new front men in by the 13 th July.!
