    I wouldn't say that the departure of a fringe player indicates that we're on the verge of another signing, and if we do sign someone now I'd say the 2 occurrences are unrelated.

    Personally, I hope we persist with the policy of giving some of these lads from non-league a chance with us. Even if it doesn't come off, it's a fairly low risk policy. As far as strikers are concerned, we've yet to unearth a diamond, but that's not to say we won't ever find one. We definitely won't, though, if we never explore this particular market.
