Think he may throw an extra midfielder in for this one. Probably Mowatt. And drop Bradshaw to bench.

Is Hedges fit anyone know. Looked our stand out player at Guisely but know he had a fractured cheek or something. Really hoping he steps up this year. Got loads of talent

Kettlewell and Mike Lowry like this.

Given we have so many midfielders and so few strikers, I think we might be better off playing a midfielder as a second (deeper) striker.

    Davies
    McCarthy MacDonald Pinnock Yiadom
    Mallan Williams Moncur Hammill
    Mowatt
    Ugbo

Django, Kettlewell, Aylott and 2 others like this.

Most likely team I reckon. Only CB I'm not sure about. Hopefully Pinnock will step up over the season but looks way off a championship defender. Thought he was going to be another Robbo and win everything in the air but looks decidedly shaky.

    McCarthy Jackson MacDonald Yiadom
    Mallan Williams Moncur Hammill
    Bradshaw Ugbo

I'd go with that, but I think we'll sacrifice Ugbo or Bradshaw, and play Mowatt behind the striker.

    Who I'd like to start:

    Davies
    McCarthy Macdonald Pinnock Yiadom
    Mallan Williams Moncur Hammill
    Ugbo Brown

    Who I think will start:

    Davies
    McCarthy Macdonald Jackson Yiadom
    Hammill Williams Moncur Mowatt
    Bradshaw Ugbo

Not sure if Hecky has confidence in Mowatt for that attack in role, has he played there before?

Think he played there on his debut against wolves. Didn't end so well.....

I think that of the ones currently available in midfield Mallan gives us the most goal threat.

All looks reasonable... apart from Jackson.

Others might see different to me, but from what I can see he's not up to it at this level.

Another poster said its likely Brizzle will be strong in the air and dangerous from set pieces. From what I've seen of the lad so far, he doesn't seem particularly great in the air at all.

He should be registered in time.

Presumably he'll come straight into the XI given Isgrove's absence and Potts' ability to play wide.

Pinnock looks similar in the air to Jackson.

Bit of a risk if he's only had one day training with the team though. And Hecky isn't averse to playing Mowatt or Mallan wide.

Fair enough, haven't really seen enough of him play.

Can't we just play Roberts? :D
