Jason Shackell available from Derby.. Wonder if we could afford him / whether we'd have him back?

 

Don't think we could afford him. Also I wouldn't say he's any better than we already have. I've seen him several times since he left and every time thought that he's nothing like the player we had.

 

And he's a git...

 

Was class when he played for us, but his time had passed.

 

Is the defence really the problem?We reduced Ipswich's efforts to 5 goal attempts with only 2 on target.Is it more a collective effort?

In agreement with this, takes time to form partnerships and realise how people play their movements and take to the coaching

Just buying more and more players adds further delay in getting organised. I'm all for buying players on value to the team, not just age, but it's a bit ridiculous to throw everything away after 3 games. But of course, that is the football knee jerk way

 

I'd say conceding at least 2 a game, and 3 to Morecambe, I'd very much say defence is a problem.

 

Both goals were easily avoidable. Slack marking/tracking and players switching off, again.

 

The defence does look weak, but I'm not sure how much of that is down to the lack of support in front of them.

 

I'd rather have Long back.

 

Plenty of talk about being a bad influence. If true no matter how good he may be I would say no.
