    Despite all the doubters the club have done it. They've signed a striker with three league goals to his name. In league two. Scored 21 months ago. In the same game.

    I think you'll find that very few were making a song and dance about it and even fewer have suggested he's going to be the answer to all our goalscoring dreams. However, please do carry on running down the club as per.

    He's a team builder.

    I'd rather have a good team than a bunch of good individuals. It's all about getting the group to work together. Otherwise Villa wouldn't have finished so poorly last season.

    Lets give him a chance first before we write him off! He might turn out to be completely useless but lets wait until the seasons done before we judge how good a signing it is.

    Prediction re: McBurnie
    First couple, maybe first few, games he plays we will be underwhelmed.
    People on here will be saying he's fffing useless - and things like - what's Hecky seen in this big lump?
    By late December he will be a decent Championship striker.
    By May of next year we will be begging the (new?) owner to buy him.
    By next July he will have been sold by Swansea to a Championship club for about £5 million.
