then I am open all ears... he seemed to, on the whole, just wander arouned the center circle totally clueless. Surely he is not our best leader of the line.... if so then we can look to another many many of Frank Skinners "years of hurt"... as football is never gonna be "coming home" when we put players like him and insipid managers like Southgate in.
really.... Defoe, Vardy, .... we have many other options and some in the championship too.... but they get overlooked as they aint in the prem..... yet these guys would give their all for the cause... that's the probs with the England team , no competition. Our other British teams have to look lower than the Premiership... and you know what they get dedication, commitment, passion and above all else PRIDE ... the over paid Prima Donnas that get to wear the Three Lions for me have no pride and honour at all.
Vardy is no lone striker and over reliant on pace Defoe can't get in Bournemouth's side and is no better than average.
He played well, he was up front on his own was getting the hell kicked out of him, once Henderson stopped getting caught out in the middle we took control. It was a good game, good atmosphere, apart from the first 20 minutes they weren't in our class
Kane plays to the instructions of the manager. All blame lies with that muppet Southgate. I agree somewhat with Dragon Tyke. We should give some Championship players a run out in friendly games where there is nothing to lose. I don't think we have had one since Steve Bull.
Could not agree more Dragon, Kane is the managers favourite though and the manager is a waste of snap.
Wilfried Zaha, Jay Bothroyd, David Nugent, Michael Gray, Kevin Phillips. All debuted playing in the second tier. None pulled up too many trees I guess. Paul Merson and David James also continued to be selected when boro and West Ham were relegated. It's not unheard of. Though I'm not sure who at the moment you'd suggest.
