Oh I like the club to have ambition and I think we've made a good foundation to push on to something good but I'd see it as a backward step to have a Ross McCormack getting 8 goals for us when he could be arsed on 40k a week rather than a Ryan hedges getting the same with a burning ambition and hunger to forward his career. Or do a Newcastle and buy 8 French players on good wages and never see them again.
I reckon the current crop of players we have were bought from a higher standard than our last batch and as they and hecky fathom this league out they will do at least as well. Maybe if we uncover quite a few diamonds within the group, the extra investment would make it easier to keep them this time.
Who knows? But I'm enjoying watching them progress with a few of our main signings still to come in.
