About Rashford starting for England in a 'nothing' match today.
What a set of t*sspots. One of the many reasons England are a crap team. Players scared of breaking a nail playing for their country so as to not miss a big money match in the Premiershit. No passion for the game at the top. Pathetic

What's more pathetic is when a player pulls out of a squad. It's even worse when they lie about the reason why they're pulling out.

They have nothing to moan about. Wish our three Welsh call ups got to play. They all might as well have stayed with us to get ready for next Saturday.

Can't blame them. The "national sport" has been devalued for years. The league sold its soul to the premierleague.

What we get is an inferior pool of players, in a league dominated by foreign signings.

The only football team I support now is Barnsley. Loved England growing up but that excitement has rapidly decreased each year since 1992...

No interest in the England team for many reasons but essentially including the reasons you mention.

I'll have my fingers crossed for Wales tomorrow though. Despite having a smaller pool of players who are at the top of the game they seem to care and as such I see them in the same mould as my favourite Barnsley squads such as the promotion squad of 2 years ago.

When England were embarrasing themselves at the euros last year I enjoyed watching Wales.

that's exactly it fella. They care more about their club football than their country. Blame the premier league and Sky for this.

Id love to see an england manager have the balls to pick a team from the championship! They would play their heart out if they got a chance to play for england and couldnt do any worse. Infact i said the other day about sticking our team plus a couple more to plug the holes for non english. It would certainly create interest.

Whilst I wouldn't pick the entire team from the Championship I think there is a strong case for Championship players to be given a chance of playing for England. English players who would have been playing in the old 1st Division are plying their trade in the Championship now as they have been pushed out by foreign players. I think that 50% of the England team look better than they are in the PL because they are surrounded by better foreign players who make them look good. I played in the late 70s early 80s with a cousin of Brian and Jimmy Greenhoff. When he played he made the rest of us look 10% better than we were and we won every thing we entered.
