Briefly clapped our fans at full time for about five seconds and got a good reception for it. Got a few ironic cheers during the game with the couple of off target attempts that he should have done better.
Can someone explain why BFC fans should have anything but affection for fletcher? I'll take him over Ugbo every day of the year.
It just highlights how silly the finances in football have got, even at our level. Great player Fletcher, but is he worth a team of Tom Bradshaws? Absolutely not on today's evidence.
Looked a shadow of his former self today. Body language wasn't right, head down, on his heels not his toes. Maybe that's because he was playing us or maybe he's struggling to deal with the pressure of being a big money signing. Maybe summat else entirely. Personally hope he has a good career. Thought he was excellent for us.
Mystified by all of these comments. Fletcher had a decent match, he is by no means their highest cost player, gave respect to Barnsley and the fans. Why not wish him well?
I didn't think he was excellent for us, although he improved and his last two or three games he did well , but I thought he looked a mature decent player today.
From about March through to May he was superb for us, as good a striker in them 2 & a bit months as anyone I’ve seen in a Reds shirt in probably the last decade. I hope he has a great career. Good in the air, good finisher, strong, works the channels, hard worker & most importantly did brilliant for us.
Bradford away was first time I saw him. Movement & first touch were top class. He'll do alright. He's a top Championship player at the minute, which is his current level. We didn't have a Schrodinger's cat in hell of signing him. We might have got Michael's fish though.
