I have recently been made aware of the passing of GEORGE RYMER, aged 93 yrs.
George played in goal for the Reds during the War years, and after the War played a few games before transferring to Accrington Stanley.
Please have a thought for him on Saturday.

He was my Grandad - passed away on the 07th October, a day after his birthday.

I remember many happy Saturdays going to Oakwell with him and my dad in the late 80's, early 90's as a young kid - 3 generations walking there and back together from Ardsley and enjoying the game.

Football doesn't seem as family orientated as it was back then.

RIP George - spent many times chatting with him in Oaks Club at Ardsley. Always a gentleman.
