Every week in a press conference Hecky says their really close and back in training. Not sure how you can be close for several weeks without even being on the bench. They must keep getting set backs that we arnt aware of.

Maybe we have 18 players that are even closer than they are. It's a possibility.

Its always been a confusion for me why we always seem to take longer to get players fit than most clubs do

Cavaré has played 2 first team games in 3 years since suffering a severe ligament injury. He's only played 12 reserve team games in that time. For Rennes reserves! The hot bed of Barnsley scouting action. He's been injured for the entirety of Paul Heckingbottom's managerial career. Paul Heckingbottom signs all our players don'tcha know.

    Maybe they're just close?

Could mean they're thick as thieves with one another.

Unless I misheard PH's pre Hull interview then I'm sure that Isgrove was also fit and available for selection for that particular fixture. I'm not sure who PH would omit from the matchday squad to include him, mind.

To be fair our match day squad has us hovering just above the relegation zone so pretty much any of them.

Hammill, Barnes, Hedges or Thiam then? We can only have so many wide players in the matchday squad.

I haven’t seen enough of Thiam or Hedges to say. Barnes I’m presuming we have to select and Adam is playing ok. We clearly need to change something. Defensively we are no better or worse than last year but attacking wise we have scored far few goals. So any attacking players place must be up for grab.

Your comments are absolute *****. We signed him able to play football. He's played for the U23s. He's not deemed good enough for first team football and is struggling to be thought of for the 23s.

He even feigned injury during a game.

My point was, which I think you missed entirely: I don't believe, prior to him arriving here, our manager will have ever seen this kid play. He's a French footballer with a serious injury in his history. He's barely played a game during Hecky's managerial career. I can't imagine that Hecky had even heard of him.

When we employ a French CEO and then sign two French players who many French football fans won't have heard of, never mind English, neither of whom have started a game for us so far, I start to question how much influence our manager has on the players we sign.

We sold all our best players. If our manager isn't in charge of who we sign to replace them, it makes a difficult job almost impossible.

Cavare played in a number of Huddersfield’s preseason games and played at Oakwell against us. Did pretty well if memory serves. So Hecky saw him play before we signed him.

That isn't true. He started a match for the U23s and tore his hamstring. He's in recovery.
