Suddenly seems to have stopped leaking goals for fun. This has happened with Marc Roberts being recalled to the side. Surely not a coincidence.
Last three home games they haven't conceeded and taken seven points. Good for us that at the weekend they are away.
In all my years of watching Barnsley, we've rarely beaten Birmingham at home. I think our biggest victory was 2-1, with an odd 1-0 win thrown in. We've won more frequently at St. Andrews and by much bigger margins. However, I'll definitely settle for a 1-0 home victory this Saturday.
I remember Steve Claridge absolutely destroying us. Scruffy pr1ck. We couldn't handle him. It finished 0-5.
Apparently so, though I'd escaped a couple of minutes before that! One of the few games I've ever left early.
Left just after the pen - actually had my hands over my eyes when he took it. Think they had Barry Fry in charge
I hate hearing jubilant Brummies belting out "Keep royt on to the end of the road" as they wipe the floor with us (again). Time to stop that happening.
They've not remotely wiped the floor with us in recent years. Whereas we've handed out a couple of absolute pastings at St Andrews.
I thought it was Watson who got sent off and Butler replaced him (with an outfield player being sacrificed)?
We do alright against them these days. Tonked them at their ground in the play offs and Craig Davies getting four in a half live on Sky Sports both spring to mind.
Beating them at St Andrews is less of a problem but our home record against them has never been good during my time watching them. In fact we have lost every time I have seen them "grace" Oakwell. Shall I stay away on Saturday?
Coincidentally, one of only two Reds games I've left before the end, the other being against MK Dons.
We have beaten them at home relatively recently....1-0 (or was it 2-0?) in 06/07. Our recent record is crap against them at home, but it was against Norwich till last season and we beat them so you never know
