Thats not the best news I heard all day - Looks certain Hecky is going to be asked and if the report they are going to give him a 400% pay rise are true its really hard for him to say no.

He's apparently on 500k per year with N Ireland and Scotland are planning to offer him almost double that. Yes it's a lot of money but I dont think I could abandon my country to join another rival country.

I think he will fancy a crack at club managment in England and may still end up at SAFC.

It have thought Michael O'Neil's ambtions would have been higher than the car crash that the Scotland job is.

Me too - trouble is the Sunderland job is not a particularly tempting alternative is it

Doesn't stop Sunderland approaching him too. It's whether he fancies a shot at the English leagues or wants to try do the same at Scotland as he has with Northern Ireland. He may wish to stay on with NI considering the job he's done there already, that said, he's another 4 years to wait for another world cup. He could easily take on the Sunderland job and be back in charge of NI by the next World Cup.

I’d say out of the two jobs, the Scotland job is the worst so if I was O’Neill I’d go for Sunderland

It said on Talksport when N-Ireland were knocked out the other day that Michael' O'Neill would be wanted man.
It said if a non prem club wanted him there would be no compo.. Also that if he wanted..The Scotland job was his.
But could be highjacked by the USA or the Rangers job
Looks like we may be in the middle of a very tangled web
