Bit of credit to the opposition.

Yeah we weren't great, although I thought we were comfortable in what looked to be ending in a goalless draw.

We're moaning because we haven't beaten 3rd in the league and a team with the most clean sheets in the championship.

They'll be saying that they didn't play well, but did enough and had their bit of luck - the kind that favoured Wednesday and Norwich recently.

I can't criticise anyone tonight. It was a poor game and toothless performance on the back of some great results.

Bring on dirty leeds on Saturday.

I agree with most of that but can't find any credit to give. They were very poor and a half decent side would have stuck 4 or 5 past them, the amount of times they gifted us the ball only for us to play the wrong pass or knock it out of play was seethe-inducing. They fluked a win in a game they shouldn't have been in by that point.

Warnock is extracting more from his side than they looked capable of pre-season. That is why the man is a brilliant manager and has the phenomenal record he has. They remind me a bit of Stoke when they were promoted from the Championship. When they went up I thought "they'll never survive in the top flight." That was in 2008..............!

You can see how they've got to where they are. They're an incredibly frustrating team to play against.

Very tight at the back and physical in the middle of the park. They won't lose many games this season to the footballing sides. If they can nick a goal too, they'll struggle not to make the top 6.

For every misplaced pass they made, they seemed to have someone who could stop the game before we could capitalise, and we seemed content in playing the free kicks awarded along the half way line.

Were they poor, or did we make them look poor without being able to deliver the knock out blow?

They were lucky. I just thought it was a dull game, defences on top and neither keeper had much to do.

0-0 would have suited the game and we would just have written it off as a poor game.

They had a game plan not to concede.

    They executed it brilliantly.

Think is they seem to keep being lucky. I wasn't at the game but it didn't sound like we ever really threatened to score. Its not luck on Cardiff's part, they cant keep getting clean sheets by luck and without the keeper even pulling off world class saves every game.
They aren't in 3rd place by being a bad side and lucky every game - not this far into the season

We on the other hand cant keep a clean sheet. Some of that does seem to be bad luck - the goals for Wednesday Norwich and Cardiff all having some fortune in them. Hopefully the rub of the green will swing back in our favour at some point.
This result inst a great shock (unlike the Hull one)

I didn't say they were lucky to have a clean sheet. I was referring to the nature of their goal, which was a clearance that rebounded straight into the net.

The fact that they have so many clean sheets and were 3rd in the league tells you they are no mugs, and that's why I'm not chucking my teddy out of the cot like some.

I can understand saying they were lucky to win but to say we should have scored four or five is ridiculous, we never had a proper chance in the game.

It was a 0-0 game in reality, only a fluke changed that.

We had the better of the game but didn’t create anything of note

We did have a couple of chances, one which fell to Thiam and one to Adam H. All in all it was a typical Warnock side, playing a spoiling game, full of off the ball pushes, nudges, much use of arms, constantly pushing the ball away and not moving 10 yards at free kicks. I think that was why we tried to take free kicks too quickly and ended up frustrating themselves. I am sure Warnock would call it gamesmanship and all part of the game, to me it was just spoiling the game to make sure we couldn't get into any rhythm.

Symptomatic of our season and the shape we go with. We don't create a great deal in a lot of games.

There are games when our lone striker just charges about but never really gets a sight of goal.

On a good day we'll take one of our few clear cut chances, like at Norwich, but we do tend to work really hard with little to show in quite a few games.

Agree, we’ve only created plenty of chances on a couple of occasions but in then games we were wide open at the back like against Forest so I guess we’ve had to tighten it up.

I think we’ve only really had creativity from out wide which Hammill & Barnes have given us but then we need a central midfielder to contribute & Potts & McGeehan don’t seem to do it so that leaves Moncur who I think the jury’s still out on & Mallan who will hopefully break into the team soon

Yeah we've definitely made ourselves harder to beat, as you can see from recent results, and that's no bad thing as at gives us a platform to build on.

Bradshaw being our first choice striker means we have to be ever so precise as he is clearly a 6 yard man, and doesn't seem confident in taking anything on from further out, so we rely on goals from elsewhere.

Last night we started with neither our top scorer or our most regular recent scorer. It was asking a lot against a team so watertight.

I also think we could have seen the last 15 minutes out by playing two up and going for it. Sooner lose being brave than to a fluke like we did.
