Can someone tell me why he's being played? He's a big lad, I get that, but he's just shocking.

    Get rid of him.

I thought he seemed to have come through the early season poor form and was starting to look ok. But in this run of losses he has been absolutely terrible and I don’t get why he seems to be shoe horned into the team. If we’re not going to play him in midfield don’t play him ffs. Why put him on the wing. For a big lad he has the heart size of a pea

Definitely not a winger , too slow on the ball and off the ball .

As. Winger I’d agree to be fair. Given how flimsy and poor we are in centre mid I’d probably pick him if I were in charge.

I wouldn't pick him again. He is truly woeful. It's like playing with 10 men. Slow, cumbersome, and we seem to be moving the team around to accommodate him. I would prefer any of today's subs instead of him, including Walton.

He's not shocking he's just not a winger and is struggling like the rest in a poor side. He needs to play centrally supporting the striker. I would however drop Gardner, Pearson, Bradshaw, yiadom and ugbo out of the match day squad and Williams is close.

    Go 352

    Davies
    Mccarthy lyndsay Pinnock
    Hammill mcgheehan potts mallan Barnes.
    Thiam , Victor O.

    Subs
    Brown Bird Isgrove etc

We are struggling and some things got to change.

Thought Townsend was sub goalie today? (agree he'd still have been better than Potts though!)

Played as a winger - I assume to be more defensive, but we'd let 2 goals in with him playing there - pointless, he's not going to put a cross in and take on his man.

I must admit that from a promising start, he's beginning to settle down into a Kevin Donovan/ Kevin Betsy clone.

    Which is not good.

When you look at him when he was at Blackpool his body shape has changed quite a lot.

    From what to what?

Does he spend his time down at Benny and Jerry's with Mama- Doo?

I'll back our players as far as is possible, and in Potts' case he must have been told to play wide right..... not his forte.
What I do not understand is why he is picked on the wing when Hammill is on the bench.
In Hecky we trust..... unless he makes regular foul ups like this.

Promising start? Potts? His debut at Bristol City was the worst debut I have ever seen. He was woeful for a few weeks, then finally had two or three acceptable games. He is now back at terrible. Definitely not a winger, but also too slow to be a midfielder.

Barnsley's pressing game that caused teams problems is gone since he came. He runs like he's towing a caravan. Just not good enough.
