Well I think you are being a bit cruel there, but I'll let YTBFC fully defend him.

Potts has got worse, I must admit.

I'm not going to knock Potts. I still feel he'll come good.

I admire that Tina, and I REALLY hope one day I am going to be groveling about how wrong I was.

I must be mad. I guess I was swung over when I saw his performances at Blackpool and then when he played against us.
    Thought he was excellent.
I remember saying to my friend, I wish we'd sign someone like Potts.
I was over the moon when we did.
Maybe I'm swayed by that sentiment.

I’m yet to see him play well. I dont care how good he was for Blackpool. In a reds shirt he’s been poor. Fleeting moments of perhaps semi-decency amongst hours of mediocrity, interlaced with ineptitude.

Not his fault. He tries. The roof would have come off if that bar rattler had gone in I reckon. Sadly it didn’t.

I think playing him as a winger is a big mistake.

I’ve really tried with the lad, I really want him to come good but it’s painful to watch. He doesn’t even look like a footballer.

His first touch is abysmal, his passing is awful, he had a great chance to set Bradshaw up in the first 5 minutes but because it takes him that long to get the ball under control the chance had gone & he ended up losing the ball.

His positioning was terrible. On 2 occasions McCarthy made over lapping runs for Gardner / Williams to pass to & both times Potts walked backwards dragging the Derby player with him to block the move off.

He was Derby’s best player yesterday, stopped virtually all our attacks.

I can’t understand how he scored so many for Blackpool.

He’s not much better in the middle either.

But you know what, even after stating how little I rate him I can see why he gets a game in the centre when the competition is Gardner, McGeehan & Moncur. At least Potts puts a shift in, the others also contribute nothing offensively but don’t work anywhere near as hard.

I don’t know what you do until January but none of them 4 inspire me.

I’d rather see Bird get a go or a look at Mallan but I don’t think either can be impressing in training to not get a chance with that competition

Brad Potts is garbage, he’s just not a footballer, at this level anyway. He’s not built like a footballer, he’s too slow and lumbering, and on the ball he’s worse than a pub team player. He’s no vision going forward whatsoever, so playing the counter attack with him in the side will never work as he just slows down play due to his inability to see a pass, let alone execute one. Time to chalk **** on him and look to get rid next month. Worse than Dwayne Mattis!
