Exactly my thoughts. The majority of my money is invested "sensibly" (or traditionally). Crypto is a bit of a punt, with a few hundred quid that I had spare. Watching the ether price is a thousand times more entertaining than following the stock market movements though!

It really is rather addictive. Watching Electroneum fluctuate today was like looking at a heart rate monitor connected to a particularly nervous person during a horror film.

I put £300 into Bitcoin using the blockchain app a couple of weeks ago and it's up to £400 already. I don't want to put too much into it though in fear of it crashing.

I'm tempted to put a few quid into the others though, maybe Litecoin or Ethereum? Any recommendations? I still don't know too much about it all really.

I'm no expert but of the established coins Litecoin, Ethereum and Monero look set to carry on making gains next year. Most commentators seem to be backing Litecoin. My tip for a good return next year is Electroneum, which I mentioned in another post. It's trading on Cryptopia at the minute for around 8 cents, but has been extremely volatile as yesterday was the first full day of trading. If you can catch it at 5 cents I'd definitely go for it, as I reckon it'll be trading at at least 25 cents next year.

The best way to make massive gains with very small investments is buying into ICO's on the cheap as most of the good ones shoot up on release, but you need to choose carefully as many of them are scams. I've chucked a bit of money into TokenPay and Naga Coin as they both look extremely solid conceptually, but obviously I've not invested amounts I can't afford to lose. Feel free to PM me if you want further information.

Ripple. Get on it. Gone up 51% in last few days and climbing. $0.72 at the moment. Santander have started using it as well.

I was planning to buy some this morning when it was 53 cents and when I got home it was over 70! Might wait for a correction.

Did you get some? Up to $1.50+ now. Joining coinbase this Jan and Amazon are expected to start accepting it.

No. Still considering it, but maybe I've missed the boat. Not sure how much further it's going. Reckon that the Tokenpay ICO is definitely a good value project, and Electroneum will explode next year once it's on more exchanges. Definitely kicking myself with Ripple as I was advised to buy some at 20 cents and just never got round to it.

I have some LTC inside a coinbase account, and have a binance account registered but not used. Anyone know how to get funds into binance?
and how do you get into the tokenpay ICO?

I've never used Binance, but I presume it's a regular transfer. Just go into it, find how to transfer coins in, and then copy and paste the address into Coinbase before sending.

As for Tokenpay - 50% bonus running until 3rd Jan, but you have to pay using other cryptos.

Edit - tokenpay sold out. But I think Crypterium is still running, which also looks interesting. I'll find a link.....

I bought something in bitcoin a while ago and had about $4 worth left over. Completely forgot about it. Just looked it’s now worth $17. I’m rich lol. Although it does show how much it’s gone up.

It's insane. What appears to be "loose change" in Bitcoin can often be worth a few hundred quid.
