Watching Mawson V Holgate, I mean Swansea Vs Everton, Bony just gone off injured in first minute, hope its not serious, could be final nail in the coffin for that deal.
Could work the other way, they go out and try to strengthen in transfer window and push McBurnie further down pecking order
I wouldn't worry too much, I still think we'll have a decent chance of resurrecting the deal in January. If Swansea need a striker in January they will recruit; I can't see them pinning their premier league survival hopes on McBurnie.
Literally, every week its happening this week. I love a bit of speculation, but if it does eventually happen I hope the boy who cried wolf doesn't claim "I told you there was wolf!"
How did we manage to sign 16 players last summer without a takeover ? I feel sure there will be some business done no matter who is holding the fort
At the same time they has been plenty saying the deal us off my favourite on here a few week back was "know the lad in the club shop he told me the deal is dead in the water"
After all the talk, this lad had better be some player when/if he arrives - like a footballing version of William Wallace, complete with the fireballs from his arse. A couple of weeks left to the window opening and he's really the only striker I've heard anyone mention.
That’s what I’m thinking. The majority of Barnsley fans have never seen him play but if we get him, he’ll have so much expectation on him because we’ve chased him for such a long time. Let’s hope if we do sign him he hits the ground running huh?
Why go back in for him? He's barely played so won't be match fit meaning were not going to see the best of him while February at the earliest and that's if we don't wait till the last minute to bring him in again. It's blatantly obvious to anybody we need a striker in who can link play and chip in with his fair share of goals and I don't see mcburnie doing that. We need to be looking at strikers that have been playing this season and doing well wether that's from the lower leagues or abroad I'm not bothered but bringing in a young lad who has barely played doesn't seem like the best way forward especially on the run were on currently.
This is lad I mentioned a few days ago. Saw him play last season and he was a right handful. Ideal for our current policy and different to what we have up front. http://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/sport/column-the-shouting-men-with-134922/
Yes we will because our Patrick isn't Mike Ashley. I have no doubt at all we will do plenty of business next month even if the club still isn't sold.
Pretty sure there will be a few out & a couple in, even if takeover isn't completed. Yiadom will be off, if the right offer is there & that will free up some funds for a striker. Could see another loanee in too in CM, if we can get hold of someone with experience.
Why do you say that? If he was a player Hecky still wants we might well go back in for him Its not like the new owners are going to completely change our model overnight Its not like we are going to go out and sign a £25 million striker in January ( please feel free to bump this and gloat if we do)
Hopefully somewhere between the two. I would hope that or trnsfer kitty looks a whole lot healthier than it otherwise would have. Therefore, our targets surely have to be set slightly higher than a swansea youth player....perhaps not but it would be nice.
