How this takeover is going to impact on the club.. it could be a continuation of the plan already in place. but with a bit of tweaking.. or it could mean a total new approach at splashing millions on new players and facilities.. Do I think we will be in the prem in the next 2 yrs? hell no Do I think we will be in the prem in the next 5 yrs? yes will I dread every transfer window from now on? no Today has given us hope again.. and that's all I can ask for from this takeover..
Hopefully or it could be a chansiri position with champions league prices for lower championship football
You’re gonna be so disappointed. We aren’t going to be splashing the cash. All we have done is consolidate. Allowing us to keep our better players. Will still be shopping lower league, free transfers and young Prem loans.
I highly doubt it. The new owners are not fools, and they will be fully aware that even with our season tickets being some of the cheapest in the division, they're still a stretch for a lot of people in what is an economically depressed area. I would expect season ticket prices to be frozen, and matchday tickets to be reduced, with lots of special offers and promotions. I want to see Oakwell full every week. One of the first targets should be to get the average attendance somewhere around the 16,000 mark. In order to do this, we need a team like last season's on the pitch, combined with savvy marketing and offers which are attractive to the casual fan.
I doubt it. More chance if it was a single persons plaything. As it is an investment company I think they'll be less risk taken. Who'd want to invest millions then take a back seat and watch someone potentially spunk it up the wall. On the other hand, if you're just a front/name/leader doing the spunking and it ain't all your money.......
How do you know that? That's pure supposition. Of course they are not likely to splash the cash but we will be in a better and much more pursuasive position than we have been since football ceased to be the game it once was (pre-premier).
They have just laid out £20 million. They will not want to tread water, money will definitely be spent in January to stave off potential relegation. From then on, I see the same plan as we have been pursuing but at a higher financial level. Dont be surprised to see 2/3 maybe 4 million spent.
