My mate lives on Hall Street opposite Parson Street station. I've been in the Miners Arms a few times.

In the early 80's I was mates with a Country Music Band from Donny ( Shack Band) and along with
others helped to run the Tumbling Shack Country Music Club.
We used to book a Bristol based act Kelvin Henderson into the Club. He was very good.
A mate was telling me recently that he'd heard that Kelvin had passed away which is very sad. A true Bristolian and a great lad
    was Kelvin.

Not been in there, my mate says he had a bad experience there a few years ago so he won't go back in.

£450 on a bottle of wine is a decent starting point

Yes that was Kelvin. A deep West Country burr of a voice. I first met him at the Peterborough Festival of
Country Music and booked him into our Club a few times. A really nice guy. Very sad he's gone.
