2 points off bottom 3, January can't come quick enough

We could be in the bottom 3 on boxing day. Preston will have to be very poor for us to win on current form.

Fulham weren't great today, but we weren't at the races.

 

Well if we don't we're going down as I see it sadly

 

It will have took us to go on a run of picking up one point from a possible 24 for us to drop in the bottom 3. Our form is abysmal but it hasn' been that all season I expect a defeat against Preston tbh.

 

he is only as good as the men in front of him allow him to b Its a knock on effect if the defence get the idea he is vulnerable it can make them nervous and open to error and its the same with the keeper too. The team is not a bad set of players they are just very green and naïve... we need a few old stagers bringing in to steady the ship. Remember when we brought in Richardson and Curle , their experience and guile made a huge difference to us... that's exactly what we need now

 

we have a five man defence and an 11 man team which at the moment are just not cutting it .The goal keeper is the last line of defence and should only get called into play if all else fails and that's what is happening.there isn't a player on the field who can hold is head up and say iam doing my best. ...If they are doing there best then they arnot half the player he was n't good enough .In my view we are a far too young side made up of lower league players,and they will never compete.
eg Hamill what has happened to him this year no goals no crosses no assists nothing ,Yeadem not half the player he was before he got a sniff of pastures new (if he wants out let him go) Moncour potts just not good enough Bradshaw keeps scoring goals then gets put on the bench so second rate strikers can run about like headless chickens and try and justify there wages and summer transfer fees.

 

Paul Heckingbottom just been interviewed after the match.

That was always the plan anyway, but nothing will change in terms of recruitment
We can only pay what we pay , so it will be very similar - we are learning about the players and they are learning about us “

 

I cant help feeling that the man in charge needs to stand up and take some responsibility instead of thinking his job is secure because he comes from town

 

sorry but we should have learned about the players before they were offered contracts and DEFINATELY before now

He will have to do at some point, but if the above quote is accurate, we'll be forever saying "we can't sack him because he's only got lower league players to play with"

The promotion season and the momentum are long gone, along with the players and at some point he will have to start winning football matches.

He's now trading on past reputation and that can't go on forever.

 

We need a keeper, a centre midfielder with quality and some bite, and a striker who can hold it up.
I honestly think that the right midfielder amd striker especially would transform our form - we’ve got some good players elsewhere. Add Hourihane to this team and we’d be flying.

 

I'd hazard a guess that these new owners haven't got relegation to league one on their agendas so can only assume PH is massively playing things down or else we are up **** creek this season

Totally agree, why pay 20 million to get relegated, need to spend big to stay up.
