I didn't make it, but it's good. Mine are way longer than that. You know what I'm like. Brevity was never a strong point.
It wasn"t a foul by Michael Brown what did Jacob, it was more a case of GBH , shocking to say the least . I would personally love to see him back , but apart from Hammil , I cannot think of many returning players that have cut the mustard second time round
Did he ever really recover from the injury? Not really looked like the same player since, except on a couple of occasions.
Butterfield was my favourite player for years. But I don't think signing another midfield player whose defensive attributes are not a strong point is what we need right now. I don't think Butterfield and Williams in a 4-4-2 would be strong enough and unless we also sign a fantastic striker we don't score nearly enough when playing 4-5-1 And Leeds at home proved how easily this team can be beaten when playing that formation, just by applying pressure. He'd probably get stuck out on the wing, like Moncur on Saturday, and that wouldn't do either him or us any favours.
I've met him a few times, he's a nice enough lad but itd be a no from me. Not sure he's what we need right now, and my mate who's a wednesdayite reckons he's been poor. January will be very interesting mind.
Butters was my favourite player in that Hill side, in-swinging corners with both feet, could dribble and pass and knew where the net was he had the lot. I always thought he'd play in the premier league, my only doubt was his pace. I think now he's probably too much of a luxury in our team, and when I've seen him he looks a bit heavy and not fully fit. Shame really but probably a no for me.
To be fair, I'm not in a position to make an opinion, hardly seen him play. This is based on Deedars testimomies. So basically they were expecting David Silva.
NO !!! Just No There are much better players out there now. Too sentimental - we need players to keep us out of the relegation zone.
He has to be better than Gardner/Potts Sure if we can get him on the cheap but I doubt it. What's McGeehan up to anyway?
For those questioning whether he's fully recovered from his injury, and whether he's good enough anymore; I'm not going to say he has and he is because I don't know. What I will say is, prior to this season, he'd played over 40 games in each of the 3 previous Championship seasons for Huddersfield and Derby; one being a lower mid-table side and one being an upper mid-table side. Experience is something we're missing, and in a way, we know what we're getting with Jacob. I was never his biggest fan, but I felt he was a little raw still when he left us. From what I've seen of him, he's certainly developed as a player, albeit he seems a little inconsistent. Hecky could be the right person to get the best out of him. I imagine he's on a fair wedge though.
