This was always the problem with relying loanees. It just so happens our best players at the minute are loanees which isn’t great.
Hopefully this kind of thing will be addressed under the new owners.

If Barnes is recalled we need to sort this out. Terms should be simple, that the loanee has the player for the year, or whatever terms are agreed. Emergency goalkeeper loans are an exception.

 

I'm pretty sure that ain't gonna happen. He may yet come good. Danny Wilson wasn't an overnight success.

Before he signed for us the son in law who's a Wednesday fan ...stated he's nothing but a donkey pinching a living he then went into detail the same faults that many complain on here about were evident at Wednesday...so I very much doubt we are going to see a miracle

On the other hand a couple of my mates who support Forest and are extremely knowledgeable about footy in general said he was superb for them and they'd love to have him back. A lot depends on what the player's fitness levels are at the time, who he plays with, in what system and so on. The very same Forest fans were astounded we paid £750k for Neil Shipperley, but that one didn't work out too badly.

 

Let’s hope that if loans can be recalled half way thru, that Chelsea come for Ugbo, cos that is one loan signing that ain’t worked & if we do bring more striker options in during January, he’s surely not gonna get another game....

 

Prior to the Leeds game, I'd have said he'd have been a big miss. Since then he's looked shot of all confidence. Maybe he's in need of a rest; he's played during all the international breaks, and barring 20 or so games for MK Dons last season, he's never done a full pro season.

I've never really understood why we've often gone down the route of young Premier league players on the wing when there's plenty of decent players at league 1 or out of favour in this league who could do a job. It seems to be one area in particular that we're reliant on loanees.
