The major bee in my football bonnet. Innevitable now at Oakwell, I reckon... :(

more than likely.. I really like them, I think they enhance the ground if I'm honest, makes it look more modern

Why are they a major bee?

Cos they detract from what's happening on the pitch?

And in our case might be a cunning plan?

Must cost millions to buy them. (I base that fact on our 52" scoreboard almost bankrupting the club)

Yeah I've sometimes thought about buying a board for one of those frames that go down the length of the pitch, to advertise the business.

I wonder what you have to do in order to get your name in lights. Like Broadway. And how much that might cost.

They do my head in. I want to watch football, not be brainwashed by commercial *****. And it's not wonder officials get so much wrong with that crap in their field of view...
I expect the billionaires to have it installed at Oakwell by start of next season. Whatever £ they invest, they still want a self sufficient club, hence inevitable..

It'll be in Chinese, so the advert won't distract unless you are in to mid match mandarin translation

Maybe we can club together and develop an AdBlocker for it?

Don't me started on those electronic boards for Vitality with it looking like dogs are walking down the side of the pitch....

I'd hate for us to have electronic boards too.

Spoiled the game for me at both Brentford and Fulham. With 57-year-old eyes its hard enough following the goalmouth action at the other end of the pitch without a car dealer's logo zipping round behind the nets. It's a no from me!

Christ the new owners have got their work cut out with Barnsley folk! Pitch side advertising isn’t going to change the world.

I do take your point Paul, and one person falling ill would be one too many but there’s not a queue of ambulances carting people away at football stadiums every week ;)

    Typical barnsley folk

    Hate Change but moan about
us being behind on every front

Parts of oakwell are a joke and wooden bloody advertising round the ground went out years ago .

If we want to invest in good players money needs to come from somewhere

We also need a decent size scoreboard ( not for the score ) because we don’t bloody score
    These days.

    But for advertising purposes
