Have any of those players wasted their talents anywhere near as much as Frimpong or O'Connor?

Surprised no ones mentioned Reuben noble Lazarus, poor kid was the youngest player ever to play in the football league and last I heard he doesn’t have a club

Time wasted whilst reading in the last 10 year...... might be more appropriate
How can you say they've wasted their talent most are still earning a wage and no doubt a good wage at that

Surely the thread title if warranted ought to have read.... Players who in my ( your ) opinion didn't for fill their potential in a bsly shirt.
If we are saying wasted talent....no doubt we should all look at ourselves before accusations are made
no doubt the same could be levelled at us all in some way

Frimpong has to be, there was no better water carrier in his hometown of Kumasi than him.

Nobody comes close to Paddy McCourt.

Some of the names you mention I don't think had talent in them to be fair.

Paddy is probably the most gifted players I've seen at Oakwell. It's such a shame he was so unfit, unwilling to get to fitness or just plain lazy to try and fulfill that potential he had.

Well, I could have made a lot more of things if I'd applied myself better... :(

Totally agree... even more talented than Sir Ronald of Glavin. Could have played at any level he wished. That said, if he was fit and driven we'd never have seen him at Oakwell... swing & roundabouts :)

Strangely I heard the same about Martin Bullock. He just played it because he was good at it rather than out of any enjoyment. Likewise me and my mate saw Paul McGregor of Nottingham Forest at a Manics concert in Leicester on a night when Forest were playing. My mate, who's a Forest season ticket holder, asked him why he wasn't at the match. He claimed to be injured, and said that watching football "bored him senseless". Seemed more interested in his band than anything else.

Paddy McCourt, no question. Sublime skills beyond the dreams of most currently in the Premier League and has played the last couple of seasons for Glenavon and Finn Harps.
His choices and maybe he's enjoyed every minute but there's so much he could have achieved in addition to making himself a ridiculously wealthy man.

Maceo Rigters. Won the 2006 U21 European Championships with Holland, winning the golden boot and being selected in the UEFA team of the tournament. Useless everywhere else.
