There are two things which might unfortunately deter possible imports.... 1. This is Barnsley. 2. We are battling relegation.
Would good quality players look at us as a must-join club?

Why on earth would we sign Mahoney?
2 games (fa cup) all season so will not hit the ground running.
Lower league gamble basically, just employed by a PL club.
And a loan, no future for us.
Starting to panic, where are the other permanent options?

    Been a target before
    Championship experience last season
Could possibly sign permanent in summer if he does well and Bournemouth don't want to use him

I was on the kop for that game and it’s one of my treasured memories of watching the Reds. Brian in fact did a classic theatrical dive in the manner of a killer whale with the ball or man nowhere near him. It nearly caused a landslide on the kop Whilst still lying on the ground, Brian at first had a look of complete surprise that the ref had given it but then smiled at the crowd and did a little hidden fist pump and a whispered “Yes!” Probably his finest moment.

He would have been ideal to come in alongside a £1 million plus rated target in my opinion.

Its interesting. Id like to think any winger brought in would give some injection of pace or be willing to take his man but this guy hasn't scored yet and has just a few assists. Cant even find much on youtube to do with him playing. Maybe some game time will give him confidence to make a name for himself..

He’s a good player with a decent track record. If there’s a chance we would be daft not to.

You say he is just employed by a PL club , well that should tell you the opposite to what you are saying , surely they must have seen something in him when they signed him , gave him a contract & pay his wages

That's the spirit. That will help a great deal when someone from the club reads it.
