http://the4thofficial.net/2018/01/b...r-leave-championship-stint-good-move-parties/ "Barnsley have signed Bournemouth winger, Connor Mahoney on a loan deal for the remainder of the season. He was on Paul Heckingbottom’s radar for some time now and the 20-year-old’s services will be heavily relied upon by the Tykes."
Signing kids on loan when we need to sign some experienced Championship level players. Don't we ever learn.
I don't think it's a matter of learning. We can only get players within a budget and also it's if they want to come or not. We could all probably pick half a dozen players that would improve us. Getting them in is a different thing. I suppose it's a question of "why don't the new guys chuck some money at it?", but that's totally up to them.
Only just realised Bradley Dack signed for Blackburn in the summer for £750k, still only 24 he had gone off the boil a bit at Gillingham where l remember there was once £2 million bids being turned down for him. It seems a change of scenery was all that was needed. Scored 10 goals so far this season and Cardiff are lining up a £4 million bid for him. Blackburn had to cut their wage bill in the summer and called KPMG in to do an audit, some of their staff were made redundant so l can't imagine he's on large wages. Would have been a great signing. Time they started selling hindsight.
I'm getting the vibe that somewhere down the line this take over isn't about the football or the team but more about the value of the club and fixtures and fittings etc..... Its not difficult to work out that if an investment is to be protected then we need to improve.......Is Hecky doing a job identifying players (if he dis are they taking him seriously)........and you would think that buying or borrowing div 1 or 2 players turns us into a div 1 team......If we want to compete WE HAVE TO BRING IN BETTER PLAYERS never mind the cost.If we go down and that is a real possibility we will be finnancialy a lot worse of . I'm no expert and I don't have all the answers but common sense must prevale.....I Hope I'm wrong and I am willing to be shot down and proven wrong.but I am starting to loose all confidence in whats happening
Far too early to judge the new owners for me. Let's not forget, they only own 80% of the club, so whatever their intentions, they're not at liberty to do what they like.
Only seen him once, at Blackburn last season. We bossed the first half but he looked very talented in the second half and supplied any number of good crosses for that Gallagher they had from Southampton, who promptly missed the lot. Was their MotM by a country mile.
