Radio Sheffield said he did brilliant to keep it at 1-0 towards the end. Gave us a chance of nicking the draw.
He looked OK (wasn't there but watched it on iFollow video). Not much to do really, hardly any shots to deal with, and very few crosses. In fact, thinking about it that sums up how disappointing it was, they were dog do and hardly looked like scoring until Scowen's worldy. He had no chance with that. Great save at the end but too late by then. Keep in him next week, deserves a chance.
His distribution is excellent. He set up a chance for us in the first half. He's very Pep style if that makes sense? He's got a couple of clangers in him but I'm more than happy to see him given a go. There's a stigma attatched to him because he played a few games during our terrible run under Lee Johnson and that's not fair. Every single player in that period of time was an embarrassment, including Mr. Hourihane and Mawson.... They haven't done bad have They? He's probably a decent keeper, but he needs a chance.
Listening to Hecky post match it sounds like he's going to get one. Unless he makes a complete Ironside (older posters only) of things he'll be in the team for the next few games I think.
Yes felt sorry for him . Here is a test for you . Which keeper of a slightly later time let a slow ball through his legs ? Was it John Manning in goal or a weak Manning shot ?
As others have said. He really was not tested that much and not many if any would have stopped Scowens goal. I was a bit concerned that he too did not seem to come too far for crosses, but time will tell on that. Maybe it's not the keepers but their coach telling them not to? Just a thought!
Not a clue. Loved John Manning though, centre forward who ended up at centre half. I remember sneaking out of school to watch a daytime cup game against Chesterfield and he scored. My form teacher at the time was also spotted at the match and got ribbed mercilessly.
