Anyone else worried that we may 'lose' connection with the club?

    Just a general question really.
The feel good factor we had with a tarn owner, captain and manager not so long ago has now gone.
All these for differing reasons are no longer with us.
............. Don't get me wrong we've had harder times in some respects although I feel if we don't get some instant results and positive appointments then there's a gap for some that might appear?!?
I'm not like others as I repeat threads (but I just have but cant be arsed redoing this) but these next few days could turn out to be the biggest in our recent history.

I'm sick of dealing with 'the biggest few days in our history'. It's every other week. More drama than a Corrie omnibus.

I'd gladly everything just chill out for a while so I can have my teatime cuppa without some earth shattering news from Oakwell to develop a sciatica over.

No, not at all. I can't stress to you enough how good these owners are. They're investors yes, but they also have our interests at heart. Good people.

I hope you are right. I just hope as investors they choose to spend their money in the right way to keep us in a position that continues the momentum that has been built up recently.

My 'connection' went after administration, then was exacerbated by sacking Andy Ritchie so soon after promotion and then when we made a big thing about having a Barnsley lad as captain then sold him at the first opportunity.

The lads on the pitch are what it's about, no matter where they happened to be born.

I think it's very sad that within 8 months we've gone from having Barnsley born owner, Barnsley born manager and Barnsley born captain to having none of those. Clearly one of those changes was beyond anyone's control. We had something special and rather unique in football and now we're like any other club again, which isn't a major problem at all, but slightly sad.

The next appointment is crucial. I'd favour an English manager who will be an effective communicator with the fans. I also think Gauthier Ganaye now has to be more visible and vocal to keep open good channels of communication with supporters.

The lot can **** right off for me gaz. We've gone from barnsley owned, managed, captained, to this. Club has changed beyond recognition and I don't think there's any going back. Just another commoditised football club. Hecky has made his bed.

Was it ever something anyone talked about before it happened though? The planets just aligned and it happened, I don't put too much value on it to be honest, I don't care where they come from it's the results that matter, I actually think Hecky going will be a blessing in disguise and I doubt the ownership is that bothered either they just probably didn't imagine it would happen so soon.
