Loads of interest. Around 15 credible candidates shortlisted so far.

Most likely will be in work coach from abroad or lower league. Still a chance for internal candidates.

Don’t be fooled by the odds on McCarthy.

As expected no rush to get anyone in and a huge effort has been made this week to support PH and the team.

Really hoping its not an internal appointment. Needs a fresh face to lift everyone. Reckon we're down if appointment goes as outlined above.

 

Well ,thats that then. New owners arent too bothered about stopping up looking at the intentions mentioned there. Why did they buy us again?Not gunna make much money by getting relegated i reckon, I'm really beginning to wonder what BFC means to them already tbh?

Why not G Neville with P Scholes as assistant ? Would be a show of intent from Mr Lee etc and if they’re trying to grow the profile of the club in the far east , Asia etc you need a big name . Sick of going down the up and coming manager route . Oakwell’s as flat as a fart it desperately needs an injection of real enthusiasm . An Alan Clarke style appointment is exactly what Barnsley football club needs right now . Sick and tired of this “ we’re only little Barnsley “ attitude .

The foreign route would really worry me. Expecting someone to adapt to a new country in their personal life let alone level of football professionally could be suicidal. We don't have time for it amidst a relegation battle.

Plus the stripping of the local feel of the club would be exacerbated at a time when fans are very sensitive to that issue.

How on earth do you come to the conclusion that new owners are not bothered ? Do you expect them to come in with a magic wand, wave it & everything is sorted ., with all thats gone off down there in the last couple of months we have to get behind them but if the fans turn so quickly they might not think its worth it . Give them time , they have not become billionaires because they are fools , I am sure they will make mistakes but we have to support them
