The longer this goes on, I suspect we are going to appoint Harsley, probably to the end of the season then review the situation.
It's just same as when Keefy got sack nobody wanted the job having to work with a budget of tenbob and a blackies egg. You can now see why Hecky jumped ship
Hecky who had just spent the most we have ever spent in a January transfer window? He jumped ship before he was pushed and secured his future, nowt to do with budget.
For me, whilst I’m uncertain either way if Harsley’s gonna be any good or not, he’s got to be a strong candidate. He knows the squad better than anyone else, and knows the club and the way it operates. This is a big bonus. Now if they club have interviewed someone they really want, then they should go that way, but if our current position is putting a few candidates off, and the club aren’t thoroughly convinced, they should stick with Harsley until the summer. Then when our league position is known, we can start the look again. An interview process is just that - doesn’t mean any will be any good. But I would suggest, that if the right man was interviewed, I don’t think money etc would be an issue, within reason. They have to fit into our system/process, not the other way round.
