True, but I reckon this is worse, Perkins had a decent half season at least. These 2 now are never ever on the ball.
The way In which we self destructed last season flogging players Off and not offering new contracts to key players is unforgivable, and it’s one of the main reasons we are in this mess! We only get what we deserve.
You can say the same about a lot of the players we’ve had in the past 3 years. If we’d bought and kept the good uns we’ve had since the summer of 2015 we’d be a promotion contender.
True but I the general feeling is we could have kept Watkins Scowen and Roberts. R9berts we chose to sell. Scowen at Watkins we didn't want to pay the wages. I'd rather take all the money we have paid to the replacements and give it to scowen.
He was (and still is) a poor Championship level defender. League 2 at best. I'm talking about the lad who's gone to Hull btw.
I do t think I've ever seen a member on here sign up and use all his or her posts to reply to people solely to defend players #conspiracytheory
Maybe on here they should learn the meaning of the word supporter ,as personal insults and abuse is unacceptable ,typical keyboard warriors .may I add it is a minority of culprits ,here most are up for a good debate
At what point have I dished out any personal insults to any of our players in this thread? And whilst you are at it, can you name the player(s) that is/are as dominant in the air as Roberts was last year?
I never mentioned your name or any particular thread , but stand by my comments . We all get fraustrated at games and are all would be managers but there is a line to be drawn at the language used
Ah ok, but as I was the only one you quoted I assumed you meant I had. No probs. I think the vast majority are frustrated at the moment. The fact that we’ve recently been taken over, added to the fact that we’ve a new, relatively unknown manager and performances are so inconsistent (even in the 90 minutes) it makes us a little bit unsure on the pathway we are going on. It’s natural that nerves are going to be frayed and more and more debate will ensue. You reds.
No problem hopefully we can have a good run in ,and manage to stay up that would be a great end to a tuff season for all , and a great achievement all things considered
If we stay up this year, I’d accept that as a brilliant season because it’s been one turmoil after another. We need to start the run in with a win tomorrow though. Thing is we are more than capable if we can get a 90 minute performance out of them.
Scowen would’ve made a big difference, but we’d have still struggled without a decent striker. McBurnie for the whole season would’ve been a massive improvement.
The language is no different, in fact probably tamer than is used at matches and certainly in the pub post game.
All managers (not just football ones) should be judged based on their decisions. We've made, across the club, some f.cking terrible ones these last 2 years & letting the two you mention go are just 2 to mention. Bordering on ridiculous, unforgivable & sackable in many other industries. If after all that we do stay up this season, it's a bigger achievement than us getting promoted in 15/16.
