I mentioned nothing about the goals that facts are out of all the games he’s played we’ve won 2 when he hasn’t played we’ve won a lot more, so yes I think he should be dropped if you look back it was also a brilliant pass from Williams to Knasmüllner to start the attack for the goal Gardner is a crab and should be dropped since he came into the team at the end of November we have won 2 games and that’s a fact

Before he came back we were on a run where we lost once in 8 games then he comes back in and we hardly win anymore change it back and we will stay up

Gareth Bale went about 30 appearances without winning a Spurs game. Not sure what happened to him in the end.

Gardner and Williams are 2 similar defensively-minded players and them playing together naturally means we've got sod all going forward. I don't think either are awful but we certainly look better with only one of them in the side.

Yes I agree mate but I just feel that the facts are we win more games without Gardner that’s why I would pick Williams he’s been a standout player for us on the whole all season along side Lindsay he needs to play before Gardner IMO

Hardly fair to pinpoint him to lack of wins. Our defence have slipped up multiple times to concede goals that shouldn't have been conceded, key goals that cost points. The only problem with gardner is that he doesn't seem a complete box to box player. It seems he would prefer to sit deeper but Williams occupies that space at the moment so someone like Mallan would be better in his place if Williams is going to be first choice in that position. I still think Gardner sitting, Mallan in front to provide more going forward and let Potts have some freedom to roam as he has done okay when given opportunity to burst forward from central areas.

I’ve been doing my research on the Williams and Gardner situation because at time I didn’t know who I wanted to play out of the two of them but then I started watching the games closely and seen a young kid at 20 always wanting the ball always trying to get on the ball and a 26 year old hiding, then I looked into that stats and found gary Gardner’s stats on who scored his biggest weakness are his passing and his tackling there the two main things you neeed to be a midfielder but it’s all opinions you think Gardner over Williams I say Williams over Gardner we will have to agree to disagree on it

Thought it would only be fair to put Williams stats up to to show how they compare

Not sure how this still pinpoints Gardner as the sole reason we are losing? I did say earlier in the posts that I like Williams and the stats show he's a grafter but do them stats show you how many balls attempted forward had success? Because I could get 50 passes a game at 77% success If i played quick one twos with CB and LB and then RB without having to be a Pro level footballer.

Looking in to the stats is an interesting read though for rest of squad. Mills made as many passes on average as Williams. Best player on rating is Pinnock and then Mcburnie. Which I agree with, then Jackson is even better than Lindsay. I also agree with. Pinnock and Jackson for me at CB and according to stats thats best pairing too. Mallan makes more than double the Key passes as anyone else on average making most chances from midfield which I kind of expected, pretty upset at his lack of opportunities this year.

yes I agree about mallan also because games can be won and lost on set pieces and we need the wins at the moment !!
