In January to get in some players who could of steadied the ship and helped us away from the relegation zone and then we could have re groued in the summer and got a more competative squad together.

Instead we brought in 5 or 6 players who had little or no experience at this level and now we are reaping the rewards.

Hecky left just after the window closed and we again had a chance to get some experience in which we decided against and now we look as bad as before with no fresh ideas coming from the manager.

Until we stop kidding ourselves and start getting some experience to play alongside our young players we aren't going to be able to compete at this level.

I don't want us to go down the wolves route moneywise but with what we have brought in these last few years from transfers I'd expect us to push the boat out a bit in order to get a squad together that we can be proud of. That might mean Chien Lee spending some of his billions but that's the way football is going sadly and if we don't want to be stuck in league 1 or up and down from the championship the investment is needed.

Jan was as good as could be expected, barring a keeper coming in given no prep was done for it

Really??? We got taken over in December didn't we? What preparation did we need? All the players we brought in were a gamble who either hadn't played in this country or at this level so what difference would it have made if we had gone and signed proven championship players?

I would have been far more confident had we done that than a load of youngsters stepping into a relegation battle in a division they hadn't played in much or at all.

December 17th wasn’t it? The preparation for Jan should have started in August but didn’t due to the limbo of the takeover.

I think it was only done then due to the worsening state of Mr Cryne’s health.

I’m sure it would have made a difference if we’d signed some players with better readiness for this division but as a club we are not setup to look for them

We can't spend money at Barnsley it's against the plan. The whole fan experience this season has been awful. Absolutely nothing to get excited about at all. Should be refunding all season ticket monies for a start.
