    If I remember right that fat odious **** Evans offered £200k and he said at the time that’s what he was worth . It was obviously laughed off .

    I think it's easy to get carried away with playing as high as possible.

    Look at the blunts. They kept missing out on promotion for seasons and saw that as failure, yet they had doubtless seen their team win loads of games throughout each season, hence why they kept getting so close.

    We could stay up this season by the skin of our teeth without managing to win 10 games. We would have seen very little entertainment yet it would be seen as a success of sorts.

    I want to watch winning football. If it's not in the championship I'm not that fussed.

    I think with a decent keeper we should be able to take L1 by storm. Millwall have done OK after bouncing back last season, so its not out of the question.

    I have been following Barnsley for more than 40 years so have experienced good and bad times. My 11 year old grandson has been coming to Oakwell with me for the last 2 seasons. He loves going to the matches but wants to watch a team that occassionally wins at home. The last half of last season and this full season have been dire at Oakwell. He said to me in Saturday when realising we might be relegated.
    " Id rather see us win matches and play football rather than be losing all the time"

    I think I am starting to agree with him.
