I would keep Bolton and Hull in the reckoning at the moment, Reading, like us seem to be in free fall

I think Hull will be fine - probably Bolton as well
Reading are as bad as us - but have 4 points start - they could get sucked in if us AND Birmingham both manage to string a couple of wins together but I still think its Burton Sunderland and one of us or Birmingham - with me thinking Birmingham with a new and more competent manager will pick up more points than us in the run in

Agree with all of this, Monk has had a positive reaction to his appointment, lost to Cardiff (everyone seems to) only 1-0 loss to Boro who are also flying & then a resounding 3-0 win v Hull, think they have turned a corner & enter the international break with positivity, whereas we have the total opposite feeling......
Could go either way, but Saturday has me feeling that we won't win another game, can't see where the 4 points to suck reading back in will come from......

We resoundingly beat Birmingham though and it didn’t signal us turning a corner. We should have beat a poor Hull and Norwich too.

Plus the fact any momentum Birmingham might take from last Saturday's result will be lost because of the international break.

How many sides 'should we' have beat & taken points from this season, lost count.
Fact is that we didn't & aren't, Saturday was as bad as it gets, for a side FIGHTING for their lives, didn't see any fight at all, that is the biggest worry.
3 home wins in 14 months is shocking & will need to alter in the last 4 at home or we are gone.

This has just popped up on the stats site I look at. Bristol City have failed to win in their last 8 away games.

And we've failed to win in our last 11/12 home games is it?

Interesting to see what'll happen - Millwall had won their last 5 away games. This in theory should be our best chance at breaking our duck for ages - even Burton and Norwich had been steady on the road before we played them.
