He wants to think himself lucky he's still at a Championship club. He should have been replaced as the back-up keeper ages ago.

Can't be arsed with the pop ups on **** websites like that. Don't give a flying **** what Townsend thinks either. He is a substandard sub keeper.

It’s a fair interview as far as I’m concerned.

Put ability to one side, the lad wants to play and not sit on the bench earning money for nothing. I thinks that’s fair enough - we’ve had enough bench warmers over the years.

Should he have replaced Davies earlier than he did this season - most would probably say yes - by at least 3-4 games before.

If he was promised more game time, even if on-loan and he hasn’t been given it, then again, fair enough. He and Hecky have both said this before.

Contract up end of season means he has to look elsewhere just in case and get his name out and about.

I can’t see the issue with it - maybe if anything he’s being a bit too honest. But it’s not often you can say that about footballers.....

He wont be playing for a while now ...following an argument and him telling a forward player a few home truthes a broken hand was sustained in a fracar
Hamill seams to have fallen foul of voicing his opinion as well hence no game time (I bet he doesn't put a red shirt on again

I think what he's said has some basis, but why say it? Hardly good for the team. And making comments about the manager which allude to him being a bit crap is completely unnecessary. He should get on with his job and if he has any complaints about how he has been treated then raise them internally instead of to the press. His comments contrast greatly with Yiadom's further down the article, which are much more professional.

Maybe - he’s probably fed up of it all now. Although having said that, Yiadom has more experience with these interviews, so knows how to phrase things better.

You’ve always got to be mindful that the way it’s written can be different to the way it’s actually spoken too. That’s one thing about iFollow - you get to see the context in which things are said.

    Interesting times ahead though.....

He’s been happy to take our wages, he could easily have demanded a move

    Let’s face it, he’s cack

Yet more evidence of not all being well with team morale.

Agree things can be taken out of context in print. Although find it hard to take the following quote as anything but a slight against Jose. “It’s been interesting since José Morais come in, I’ll say that." Things not all well it seems.

Not that easy when the club have promised something but failed to deliver. Also, we didn’t exactly have options to replace him did we.

Hecky and NT have both said several times before about a loan move for him for game time. He lack of back-up in squad meant he couldn’t.

I see his future somewhere with smaller goal posts, maybe ice hockey or even subbuteo.

He’s not said anything wrong or worthy of getting wound up by.

The lads right, he needs to play games, he’s not saying he should be starting every week for a championship club he’s just saying he needs to play games which is fair enough after what is it? 2 & a half years as back up? Long time that.

I can’t really slate him for that, he’s even been willing to go to non-league to get games where as a lot of championship players would see themselves as above that & not take the loan opportunity.

Well, it wasn’t working before he came in, so we’re not exactly any worse off in some ways.

The team needed a shake up, we all know that - perhaps that’s why he was brought in.

Very disappointing. Should not be airing his views in public. Sounds as though all might
not be well down Oakwell way, which if true, heaps even more unwanted pressure on the
squads ability and desire to claw their way to safety. Every successful team I've ever known
has had team spirit and real camaraderie at its very core. If we haven't got that, we could be
    in big trouble.!

Totally agree - had enough bench warmers in the past. Fair play to the lad.

He’s saying he wants to play - I.e earn his living and work. What’s wrong with that from a young lad?

Some others would just sit there and take the money each week.....

Fair comment, but it's hard to see how disunity within the squad is going to assist us in the present situation.

Obviously it's not going to happen, but I am willing to bet had he been given the amount of game time Davies' has had there wouldn't a great deal of difference in their comparative results.

I don't think it's the issue of him needing games which is the problem, it's more his comments regarding the manager which slightly annoy me. No need to go to the press with those type of comments as it can't benefit the team in the slightest.

He's an utterly dreadful, nervous, flappy goalkeeper, and his next move will be to League Two - at best.

He was appalling under the Tiki-Taka Dwarf. Now we're a division higher his flaws are brutally exposed.

His comments are fair but I'll be glad to see the back of him.

We've had some terrible goalkeepers in my time and I rank him as one of the worst. Matt Ghent/Martin Taylor levels of uselessness. Him leaving will be good for us and hopefully for him too.
