13 years for killing 3 kids

When people get into a car and drive when they are two and a half times over the limit and have also taken cannabis then wipe out 3 kids they deserve to go to jail for life - the legal system as it stands cannot facilitate this and must be changed imo - if you are out of control and stab someone to death you may get life but if you are out of control in a car and kill 3 kids you get 13 years - these kids live not that far away from me and since this terrible event happened I still see people on the roads everyday doing stupid idiotic things, putting people's life at risk so this event has made no difference - the law needs changing and minds need to be concentrated - NOW imo.

 

It's 2 years inside per life really as they will be outside after six years in reality and will serve the rest of the sentence on licence. It's a disgrace IMO.

 

I can more or less guarentee a warm welcome will be waiting for them.

 

Horrible events and a terrible outcome, I would wager he was a bad driver without drink to start with looking at the state of that car. Not that I would but if ever attempted to drive after drinking I imagine I would end up going too slow as I would be over compensating.

 

13 years us as good an outcome as was ever likely to have arisen. Not too long ago I would have been surprised if he had got a couple of years.

 

Something needs to change. Anyone who drives at over seventy mph while pi55ed and high on drugs and kills innocent people deserves a much longer sentence. As far as I'm concerned what he did is as bad as murder.

 

I've always said it in conversation with people - if you want to kill someone run them over, as long as you dont like make it obvious and reverse back over them, you'll do 3-6 years max, stab someone with a knife and you're looking at 10+. Bloody ridiculous.
