If you were in Jose's position, what line-up would you start with on Friday? What would your plan B be?

    Personally-

I would go with a 4-2-3-1 (or 4-5-1 depending on how you look at it)-

    Davies

    Yiadom - Pinnock - Lindsay - Fryers

    Williams - Gardner

    Thiam Moncur Hammil

    McBurnie

Subs: Townsend, Jackson, Cavare, Mallan, Potts, Isgrove, Moore

Moore and Isgrove to come on with more of a 4-4-2 approach if that isn't working.

**Line-up I would also like to see but could be too risky to try:

    Davies

    Cavare - Pinnock - Lindsay - Fryers

    Williams - Yiadom

    Moncur
    Thiam McBurnie Hammil

Subs: Townsend, Jackson, Mallan, Gardner, Isgrove, Moore, McCarthy

Kettlewell, Connor and sitting bull like this.

Think your first option isnt a bad shout. Would personally prefer Isgrove in for Hammill. And Jackson and Pinnock in defence.

3-5-2 or 5-3-2 depends on your point of view.

You can't play 442 it's not cool anymore.

    Walton

    McCarthy - Jackson - pinnock - yiadom

    Thiam - Moncur - Gardner - Hammill

    Mcburnie - Moore

Subs: Davies, Lindsay, Fryers, Williams, Mallan, Isgrove, adeboyejo

    • Got to stop the Williams, Gardner partnership.
    • He's tried every combination of full backs and all have failed spectacularly. The only guy he hasn't given a chance to is September player of the month, Jason McCarthy.
    • Hammill has experience and the heart for a battle. Needs to return.
    • I think Thiam has offered quite a lot of end product from the wing, he's put balls in and to be honest if we hadn't already judged him we'd have to say he's been better than others as a chance creating winger.
    • Davies and Townsend have both failed. Wednesday and utd threw their young keepers in and haven't looked back. Perhaps we need to try?
    • Mcburnie played more centrally should in theory give him more chances which we all know he will put away.

Bit different of an opinion. I like it though. Adeboyejo over Bradshaw on bench?

We have got to such a crisis point that we need to try different things because what has been tried so far as failed miserably. I think adeboyejo has put effort in all season and had good reviews in the under 23s so we might as well give him a shot from the bench. Let's not forget that a few months ago he was on the bench for a high pressure derby game.

I'd love to see this given a go. What we are doing hasn't helped so a back to basics approach might help.

Back to basics 442 hardly worked under Hecky so can't see it working. Guess we have better strikers.

    Moncur gets another “last chance”?

I’d rather play Williams and Gardner I think

I think we'll get beat but with that team we'd get battered .

I think that the back to basics approach needed is defenders clear their lines, midfielders create chances and pressurise the opposition and forwards take their chances.

Oh and keepers don’t get beaten piss easily

I don’t think formations will affect any of this...

Agree with that too. I've said for ages formation means little And in fact tinkering too much can over complicate matters

We played 4 5 1 most of this season under Hecky with only Bradsahw up top. Now we could try with Moore and McBurnie and let's face it the 4 3 3 isn't doing any better for us

That partly why I hope he sticks with HIS 433. He played 442 against Burton and we were ******* gash, first half anyway
