How much more would you like the club to do ? . Season tickets , flexi tickets , pay in advance at a cheaper rate , saving stamps ! There’s something for everyone but it seems some on here just love something to pick fault with !

I read and understood you perfectly well, thank you, which is why I'm in agreement with regards to extortionate pay on the day prices.

Where did the "bloody hell" and "I wish I'd not bothered now" come from then. I wasn't having a go at you and I don't know how you could have thought so.

There is only one thing on your list that is aimed at people who can't get to enough games to make a season ticket viable, the flexi ticket. What was it? £22 a game??

It was £23 per game and made available for 6 weeks in October/November. "How much more would you like the club to do"? The obvious and most useful thing to do is scrap the categories and come up with a single, fair and affordable match day price.

It was due to your comment about me having to 'forgive you for being out of the loop' for getting your facts wrong with regards to those selected matches. Irrespective of how it was meant, it comes across to me as unwanted & unnecessary condescension.
In future I'll not bother agreeing with you.

It was meant to be a sarcastic comment about being priced out of those games and therefore not being as well informed about them as I should be.

I believe the club HAS alienated some fans with their match day pricing policy and believe more could & should be done to get them back on board. As a club, we're not in a position to make any section of our fan base feel unwanted, unworthy or discarded. If we truly are a community club, then why the hell do we charge a £36 admission fee for certain games?

Just buy a chuffin season ticket and stop griping . Alternatively go and watch Frickley it's a tenner in or Worsbro at a fiver . Makes our season ticket great value . Tom Jones is £50 a ticket or Paul Potts is £20 . I know where my money is going . It's not unusual !

I know that's the reason given, but it's not something I've ever agreed with. It was more of a rhetorical question.
I don't think I've ever used the word rhetorical on here before!:D

Just explain to me what you want ? We'd all love to pay £10 a ticket but we are supporting a team in the Championship and arguably the 5th best league in the world. We have a wage bill of c6million that has to be paid for . £10 a ticket isn't gonna get near . You need to turn it on its head and think of investing in your club.

This situation was created because offers to adult season ticket holders have been too generous.

So lets make the loyal supporters pay more so you can have cheaper tickets for the five times a season you bother to turn up

I don't know if you noticed, but current policy around season ticket and match day ticket pricing ensures the ground is only half full every week.

You could say that what happens on the pitch determines how full the ground is, but in all honesty we only have a good season once in a blue moon, so policy has to be based around fallow years as well as good ones.

The club can either continue doing what it's doing and playing in front of a half empty stadium, or it can get its brain in gear and look at what else can be done to fill those empty seats.

Typical strawman argument. Ponty hasn't said that he wants £10 tickets so then using your own made up ridiculous amount to say it 'isn't going to get near' doesn't work as a valid argument. There's plenty of scope between £11.74 and £38. £20 a match is fair for example and wouldn't price out casual supporters but would still make it good value to get a season ticket if you can afford to do so/can make the games.

I dare say that some extra fans would be attracted by say £5 admission but ultimately not enough - winning football matches fills the ground unless it’s an offer like Bradford which is too good to miss

My biggest problem is him saying that making season tickets more expensive is the answer. That's ridiculous.

Are you suggesting making season tickets £460 or just dropping matchday prices to £20?

If it’s the latter then who would bother at that price and if it’s the former how do we replace the lost income?

Why shouldn't season tickets go up a bit. Why is it always those who pay match by match who have to suffer. A better balance needs to be struck.
