agree I ended up with my lad helping me back over the wall yesterday at corner flag dont know how I ended up there, thought that goal was gonna be our turning point gutted not to get the win but a lot of positives to take on to monday
Love it when a troll behind a keyboard gets proved wrong. And nice to see how much the goal meant to him. Played well yesturday missed a sitter but so did moore and mcburnie.
It was certainly big celebrations haha And yeah agree, it was a lot more positive than a few previous games. We just really need a win and sharpish. Don’t care who gets the winner or what body part it comes off, just want 3 points on Monday please.
A keyboard warrior? Because I don't rate a footballer? Get a bleeding grip. The lad is a league two player. He does summat decent every three games and that's supposed to silence the critics. We are talking about players who have won seven games out of 39, they've scored less than a goal a game and haven't won at home for five months. Yet I'm the one in the wrong for being unhappy with that. You couldn't make it up. You really couldn't.
Yes, it’s **** and yes, it’s looking like we’ll be relegated but maybe you could trying being an actual supporter of Barnsley FC and try and show some support for our players and team. Or maybe you could go off and support a team that wins every week so you wouldn’t have anything to complain about? I’m assuming you’ll do neither and keep moaning your way through every day.
You do realise that what gets said on here has absolutely no relevance to what happens on the pitch? What do you do to actively support the team that I don't do? Just to clarify you do know that I haven't seen my team win for five months yet you think I am being unreasonable?
No. Conan has it and is currently using it as a comfort blanket whilst crying into his protein shake.
Don’t start trying to rationalise this thread Conan. It was nothing to do with not rating him as a player. The thread was a dig at the lad’s physique and a suggestion he’s overweight. You have been shown up to be massively incorrect. I don’t rate him as a player very much. We agree on that. I, admittedly probably unnecessarily, questioned your IQ not due to any difference in opinion, but based on your insistence on digging out the players of the club you support for ‘issues’ which are not only apparently, but blatantly not there. Given the amount of ammunition the club has given this season for you to have had a dig, the target and rationale you chose showed a distinct lack of intelligence, integrity and had no credibility. All that said I have seen your apology on the Ray Wilkins thread. We’ve all said stuff in the spur of the moment which we regret, especially under the influence. I took exception to a few things you said but questioning your IQ was not required so if any offence was taken I apologise for that. This thread was and remains ridiculous though. He’s many things Brad Potts, but overweight is not one of them.
Brad Potts is definitely not fat. He might be a little too big though, a little too muscular. He's built like a sprinter and that serves him well for the kind of goal he scored yesterday, busting a gut to get on the end of a cross. He's strong and powerful, but he seems to run out of steam towards the end of games and yesterday he was cramping up. You don't usually see that at this stage of a season. He's had plenty of games to build up his match fitness but not too many so he'll be knackered. Footballers tend to be built like middle distance runners, capable of both speed and stamina. It's bloody hard work carrying all that muscle bulk around for 90 minutes like Potts has to. It's probably not doing him any favours.
That depends doesn't it. Would he be a better player with less strength, power and presence but capable of running around for 90 minutes or is he better big, strong and imposing for 70 minutes then subbed? Joe Williams can run for the entire game but there's nowt to him. I know which one I'd prefer
You said he was a over weight footballer clearly not you are a keyboard warrior who has been proved wrong.
