First game for over a month, frustrating result but great entertainment and great spirit from our lads. Moore a colossus at both ends of the pitch and MOM by a mile. Their keeper kept them in it, the ref was cack, we should have had 5, good to see Hammill back, running out of games but on today's form we'll shade it.

    Well done lads today.

I too enjoyed the game yesterday what a difference from the other games!!
But still I can't understand why Oli McBurnie is still playing out on the left hasn't Jose noticed Oli hasn't scored since he was placed more left of the attacking formation. He's a goal scorer. I understand Moore is doing really well in the position that he's in more Central. It's a catch 22 situation at least that's how I see it. But Oli still put a good shift in!! Great to see Hammel back in the side. Moore will need a rest soon especially putting in performance like that he's a real workhorse. Since Heckingbottom left he's starting to deliver if in just has a performance wise the goals are also starting to come too which is great for his confidence. I'd like to see us have another plan especially for attack? Like let's say 2 wingers and a striker either Oli or Moore but not forgetting bradders upfront with I'd try Hammel on the left with Oli & Isgrove on the right flanking the striker putting balls into the box. Especially away from home. Because Moore needs a rest.
Moncur & Potts had a great game.
So let's see this new formation Jose if it's just to see if it works.

But hey obviously this is only my suggestion.

Over the years I've always accepted that all the various managers we've had know far more about football than I do. They also know the players personally and watch them in training every day. They speak to them in team meetings, get their feedback and find out their strengths and weaknesses. Like you, I find it a strange formation too, but there must be a reason for it and it worked well yesterday, in terms of chances created and the overall performance. We weren't far off winning and we were unlucky not to. We've got some good honest lads in the squad and we've got a decent chance of stopping up.

If we do, the real test will come in the summer. Only then will be able to judge the new owners and manager properly.

I’d go 4-4-1-1, with Oli in behind Moore. Fullback pushes on to support whichever flank we’re attacking down, while the other drops back to form a 3 across the back. That’s all, nothing more complicated.

Oli's played wide left in all his games under Jose.I think its easier for him to ghost in the box without been tightly marked like he did yesterday when he should have scored with a header.I don't think we've time to mess about with the formation we're running out of games and it looks like the players have adapted to this formation.
