..I think we will stay up. All guesswork and fervent optimism, of course, but, bad as the table looks now, Bolton are at Derby, Reading at home to Preston and Birmingham at home to Burton. It is highly unlikely that they will all win. It is perfectly possible none of them will. If one wins, one draws and one loses, a not unlikely outcome, we will still be 5 points behind one, IF WE WIN, but only 2 behind another and 3 behind another, with a game in hand of all three, with Bolton, of course, to visit Oakwell in 10 days. BetVictor has us at 1/2 to go down, Brum at 3/1, Bolton 7/2 and Reading 6/1. Those odds will probably be a lot different next Sunday, one way or the other.

Saturdays game reminds me of when we played Hull City not so many seasons ago (was it the great escape season)? I went down to Oakwell fully expecting to lose and be put out of our misery but low and behold we beat them and there 6 thousand following 2-0.Lets hope for the same at the weekend.

Even if we were to go down anyway how desperate are we for just a little cheer, a win would be a massive lift to everyone And at least leave is with a positive memory for this season and a home win in 2018.

Sheffield United spent six seasons in League 1. Do we expect to improve on their performance, especially as they had Brian the Blade?

I've just been looking at the remaining fixtures for us, Birmingham, Bolton and Reading. We have arguably the easiest of the four run ins so I'm still clinging to the last drop of optimism I have left.
