    He’s obviously got something about him as a manager as much as I dislike his smarmy smug way. I get the feeling he’d think himself a little too billy big balls for the Tykes. Totally unverified opinion of course.

    He was not offered the job, he was approached by the club and out of courtesy he talked to them. He had already been in contact with another club about taking over there. He was never offered the job at Oakwell.

    I know he wasn't offered the job he was interviewed when we had no manager and he said he wouldnt be interested in.coming here or something along those lines. He was average at Leeds and terrible at boro and spent the most in the championship

    Gary Monk is apparently the favourite to take over from Rafa Benitez who has
    announced he's intending to leave Newcastle in six days time.
