Virtually every club will have times throughout a season where some of the players have a little bust up in training. Not sure apart from people wanting to make life hard for the manager by sensationalising this why it is newsworthy. I'd be up in arms if they had done it during the course of a match and it influenced the game. But on the training ground, these things happen all the time. Tom Jones said it best, It's not unusual....
I remember Clint Marcelle and Paul Wilkinson squaring up to each other during the Oldham home game towards the end of the 96/97 season. It was 0-0 at the time and seemed to spark us into life to win. 4-0 I think?
Bust ups do happen regularly but this one resulted in a broken finger hence the heightened coverage .
Rumours have always done the rounds. It is nowt new. You'll hear stuff in the pub or at the ground all the time, as well as on here or social media. part and parcel of football. Not sure why you're getting worried by it!
I respect the intent of your original thread but in this day and age nothing is secret or sacred anymore . We're all hungry for information and as the incident reported was true, I don't think we can argue really .
Agree with the above comment , and talking about rumours there is one flying around that Townsend retaliated it was Cavare who threw first punch
