Bloke was a proven championship player last year. He ripped us a new one when we played Blackburn.

Clearly a year in the ressies meant he was rusty. But we’ve seen a few minutes of him.

Knasmullner was just a completely random signing. It’s like they had looked down and seen he had scored a bunch of goals in whatever 4th rate division.

Still 7 games left. If we see them again I hope they both do well. But with the bloke in charge even if they did do well they’d be dropped for next couple of games. Never known a more bizarre time as a Barnsley fan.

    Exciting Times!

Mahoney isn’t a proven Championship player.

Not sure you can say that about him. He's only started 7 league games in his career, one of those for Accrington in league 2.

Is that all. Fair do’s thought he had played a lot more. Certainly looked like he had. Other than tearing us apart he was getting rave reviews in most games end of last season. I wouldn’t write him off after a grand total of 60 mins football for us. Anyone without competitive football for a year would need a few games to get back up to the speed and intensity, as well as joining a new club with a new manager.

Hignett & Glavin 2 of the best Midfielders that we've ever had.
Ronny Glavin Now there is a player who could run with the ball which has if the ball was stuck to his feet
And he wasn't shy when it came to getting into the box a real terror for defenders.
