It has been noticable for most of the season that particularly during the latter parts of games that we don't have a leader on the pitch. That's someone who can get the side organised to see games out. Potentially, the only one of our current crop is Adam Jackson as he seems to be the best reader of the game. He should be made captain.

Agree with this. The lad improves with every game. He holds that back four together. Reads the game well and 100% commitment. Also calm when these around him panic. V good defender and has the potential to lead the team.

He's come on so much from his first season - our best CB for me.

Lindsay stands out to me as the chap who should be in charge.

Without exclusive access to individual characters, it's hard to say though.

We do need one or two with a never-say-die attitude now, for the next 6 games.

Josh Scowen should be our highest paid player and captain. But that aside Jacko would be a good choice.

I think Jackson would be a good choice for captain next season too. He’s come on leaps and bounds from people slagging him earlier in the season.

Agree with the OP. Jackson is the man. We are blessed with 3 good CB's. Lindsay & Pinnock also are up to the Championship level.
Jackson has the composure & a bit more experience at this level.

I really thought he was dodgy as **** last season.

He is easily our best central defender these days. No frills. Clears his lines. He has come on in leaps and bounds. Fair play to him.

100% Jackson for long term captain priority needs contract extension for him, moncur is improving no end, Potts is a bit slack but has power and commitment and will be very good, Lyndsay is good enough and I would love to sign Garndner permanently. Get contracts sorted GG.

Cavare, Pinnock, Mallan Mcgeehan, Knasmullner, Thiam, McCarthy, fryers all have potential but need a lot of work in the summer and if they come good would save us a few quid and keep some continuity rather than starting from scratch again.

In the summer we will need a left back, striker to replace mcburnie, a goalie and hopefully Jose to use his contacts for 3 Premier League players of the Harvey Barnes calibre.

Hammill I would love to sign him for a couple more years as he is our talisman and would love him to stay part of our club.

Let Mowatt, Townsend, Pinnilos go, Yiadom will go anyway. Bradshaw and Isgrove are decent squad players.

Williams and Mahoney are not for us and go back and we can give a few of our u23s / lads out on loan a chance instead.

We can stay up and then look forward to imptoving next season with Jose.

Jackson’s not the leader, Lindsay’s the organiser at the back.

Both have taken too much stick lately, Jackson was superb second half today & Lindsay was excellent in the second half’s against Norwich & Bristol
